چکیده

This work proposes the design of a low-cost sensory glove system that complements operation 3D-printed mechanical hand prosthesis, providing it with ability to detect touch, locate and even measure intensity associated forces. Firstly, production prosthetic model was performed using 3D printing, which allowed for quick cheap robotic implementation allows controlled movements high performance possibility easily replacing each piece individually. Secondly, we construction instrumentation complementary mimicry add-on system, focusing on sense touch as primary target. Using piezoresistive sensors attached palm glove, multi-sensor developed able quantify forces exerted glove. showed promising results could be used springboard develop more complex multifunctional in future.

Flexible Piezoresistive Sensors Embedded in 3D Printed Tires

In this article, we report the development of a flexible, 3D printable piezoresistive pressure sensor capable of measuring force and detecting the location of the force. The multilayer sensor comprises of an ionic liquid-based piezoresistive intermediate layer in between carbon nanotube (CNT)-based stretchable electrodes. A sensor containing an array of different sensing units was embedded on t...

The Making of a 3D-Printed, Cable-Driven, Single-Model, Lightweight Humanoid Robotic Hand

Dexterity robotic hands can (Cummings, 1996) greatly enhance the functionality of humanoid robots, but the making of such hands with not only human-like appearance but also the capability of performing the natural movement of social robots is a challenging problem. The first challenge is to create the hand’s articulated structure and the second challenge is to actuate it to move like a human ha...

Hand prosthesis with a sense of touch

Technology[1] Technology[1]Inventions [2]Robots [3]The Body [4]Denmark [5]Videnskab.dk [6] A new hand prosthesis enables an amputee to feel a handshake for the first time in years. A quantum leap in prosthesis research, says scientist. Scientists have created a hand prosthesis that not only receives and responds to brain signals, but also sends information back to the brain. This means, for ins...

Affective Touch for Robotic Companions

As robotic platforms are designed for human robot interaction applications, a full body sense of touch, or “sensitive skin,” becomes important. The Huggable is a new type of therapeutic robotic companion based upon relational touch interactions. The initial use of neural networks to classify the affective content of touch is described.
